Chapter 1 - Towards The King's City

Heading to Kotaraja – 2 – The First Conflict

Prana Sampar immediately darted quickly and swung a keris towards the savior of Wiratama’s body. Bondan did not feel any problem or interest in this fight so he decided to avoid and only match his opponent’s attacks. Prana Sampar became increasingly angry with the way Bondan responded to his movements. He felt he had been underestimated because Prana Sampar had been ingrained in himself that he was a young man who had advantages compared to those his age. In addition, he was also a student of a matchmaker on the slopes of Mount Wilis.

“Gandrik! Don’t act like a goat playing around. So that I don’t regret killing you, fight like a man!” Prana Sampar furiously slashed his keris at Bondan’s stomach.

Bondan did not answer. He was fully aware that the person who was attacking him really wanted to finish him off. And if you look at the wound on Wiratama’s chest, it is clear that his attacker’s true strength is visible. However, Bondan has not yet decided to fight or immediately break away from the fight. Although in the end, for the time being, he wants to explore the fighting ability of Wiratama’s killer. Bondan cannot fight his great curiosity. He seems to want to play around with the danger that exists in the figure named Prana Sampar.

At that time, Bondan who had guessed the direction of the attack then shifted his body. Prana Sampar was a little surprised by Bondan’s speed but that made him even angrier. Prana Sampar quickly increased his layers of abilities. He used almost all of his abilities to attack Bondan.

The Sampar Keris suddenly seemed to come from all directions and had eyes on its sharp part and hunted Bondan who jumped nimbly to avoid the attack. But the flow of the Sampar Prana attack was getting faster and stronger, so Bondan was forced to face the Sampar Prana attack. This student of Resi Gajahyana had no choice but to keep himself from being cut by the keris that bit like a fierce wild snake. The sound of a small explosion rang in Sampar’s ears.

Surprised by Bondan’s counterattack, Prana Sampar almost lost his cool. The incredible shock from the power that came out of the headband’s explosion made Sampar blind. He felt ashamed of himself for underestimating the abilities of the young man he did not know. Now Prana Sampar’s desire to finish off Bondan was getting bigger.

On the contrary, Bondan’s calmness was greater when he avoided his attack. This student of Resi Gajahyana was truly able to position himself in his first clash since leaving Pajang. He could read Prana Sampar’s fighting style, even Bondan was able to make an estimate of the follow-up movement that his opponent would launch.

Insults and harsh words often came out of Prana Sampar’s mouth. Very noisy, that’s what the young man from Pajang who was his opponent thought. But the patience of Resi Gajahyana and the life of the hermitage, without Bondan realizing it, had an extraordinary impact on his self-control. Bondan was not easily provoked by every action carried out by Prana Sampar.

Sampar spun his body and shook his keris like a whirlwind. At that moment, Bondan felt a very strong wind from the rotation of Sampar’s keris.

“There’s no way I can always face this guy by dodging!” he said to himself. So Bondan quickly flung his headband. He started to block and occasionally retaliate by waving his udeng.

Lowering his body slightly to avoid Sampar’s keris, Bondan immediately turned his body by whipping his udeng to peck Sampar’s chest. Realizing the change, Sampar bent his body backwards. The open upper part was immediately used by Bondan to launch a kick with his hand as support.

A loud crash was heard as Prana Sampar was still able to block Bondan’s kick.

Because at first Bondan felt that there was no problem with his opponent, he began to think of a way to escape from Sampar’s attack.

“Sir, whoever you are, I have no intention of interfering in your affairs. I am just a traveler who is going to the city of kings,” said Bondan while increasing the attack with his headband accompanied by a series of blows that came like waves in the ocean. Bondan decided to retaliate while considering the possibility of breaking free from Prana Sampar.

The shock of the attack of the young man from Pajang city finally pushed Sampar to jump back a few steps. The waves of attacks that came in succession had been felt by him as the beginning of a fierce fight.

I have to prepare myself, thought Prana Sampar.

Unexpectedly, Bondan jumped backwards, away from the ring of the fight. “Alright, thank you, Sir! May you find peace,” Bondan shouted as he left the fight, jumped over the thick bushes and ran quickly towards Trowulan.

”So tight!A snotty kid like you has meddled in other people’s business and now you’re running away from a fight? Stop!”

Sampar tries to chase but now he has realized that the young man he is chasing is not an ordinary young man. Prana Sampar who is eager to kill Bondan is suddenly attacked by doubt. Even so, he has a bad thought if Bondan becomes the source of news about the news of Wiratama’s murder.

It wasn’t easy to defeat him but he had to be stopped at all costs! Prana Sampar’s determination solidified in his heart.

He did not cancel his intention, his hands flashed quickly throwing several iron nails which then shot fast behind Bondan’s back. But this disciple of Resi Gajahyana almost disappeared from sight. In a short time, this young man had moved away from the gaze of his hunter even though Sampar had used his strength to chase Bondan.

Losing his prey became the reason for Sampar to feel increasingly irritable at the end of the day. He repeatedly kicked the gravel and twigs that were lying across the road. He decided to isolate himself in a place far from the reach of the Majapahit soldiers.
